Dear visitors, at present, entry to the exhibitions is possible only with the mouth and nose covered (FFP2 respirator, etc.). Thank you for your understanding. There is no need to prove yourself with a negative test, etc., except for group tours of over 20 people, concerts, openings and other cultural events.

Please order group expeditions to the Hussite exhibition and to the medieval underground in advance. Ordered expeditions take precedence.We will be happy to create a tour itinerary for your group.

Free admission dates:

The policy of free admission dates is governed by a corresponding Law of Public Services that are provided by museums and galleries managed by the Ministry of Culture and the National Gallery of Prague. In accordance with this policy, visiting the Hussite Museum in Tábor is admission free on the below specified dates.

  • A) Old Town Hall:
  • 18th May (International Museum Day) – only the Hussite exhibition and short-term exhibitions
  • 1st . June (International Children’s Day)
  • 28th September (Czech Statehood Day)
  • 28th October (Czechoslovak Independence Day)
  • 17th November (Fight for Freedom and Democracy Day)
  • European Cultural Heritage Days (date determined by the office of management) – only the Hussite exhibition and short-term exhibitions

B) Bechyňská Gate and Kotnov Tower:

  • 18th May (International Museum Day)
  • 1st June (International Childrens’ Day)
  • 28th September (Czech Statehood Day)
  • European Cultural Heritage Days (date determined by the facility office)

C) Blatské Museum in Soběslav and Veselí nad Lužnicí, only on regular opening days:

Additional fees and extra services:

  • Educational programs:30 CZK per student (booked tour groups only).
  • Camera and camcorder use (no flash, no tripods): 20 CZK
    Foreign language tourbooked tour groups only , for the Medieval Underground only: 200 CZK per group.
  • Tour outside opening hours:surcharge 100%, 400 CZK minimum, Old Town Hall tour 600 CZK (Hussite exhibition, Medieval Underground and Great Gothic Hall). Prior arrangement necessary.

Effective 12th April 2016. The admission table and opening hours’ sheet may be obtained from each cashier in the ticket office upon request.
